1. The chemical coloring method is the most accurate coloring technology for plastic parts processing. It can produce accurate, highly repeatable and appropriate shades of color, and is most suitable for small batch production. Most commercial plastics are colored on the injection molding machine, while most engineering plastics are sold already colored.
2. The masterbatch coloring method for plastic parts processing is divided into two types: granular material and liquid material, both of which can be formulated into various colors. Among them, pellets are the most common, and the use of color masterbatch can be achieved by mixing the plastic with the color masterbatch and actually transporting the mixture or color masterbatch into the injection molding machine. The advantages are: cheaper colors, reduced dust problems, lower cost of raw materials, and easier storage.
3. The dry toner coloring method for injection molding is the cheapest. Its disadvantage is that it is dusty and dirty during use. To ensure uniform and accurate colors during production, specific sized bags or cartons can be used to hold the correct amount of dry toner. When using dry toner for coloring, the surface of the plastic pellets must be covered with a uniform layer of colorant so that the color can be evenly distributed in the melt. The mixing method and time must be standardized to ensure uniform coloring.
Once the coloring steps are determined, you must stick to them. In addition, it is also necessary to prevent the toner from absorbing moisture during storage, otherwise it will easily freeze and cause spots on the plastic parts.
